Personal Victory
My friend Sue and I went shopping during lunch yesterday since none of our attorneys and our supervisor weren't at work. We went to Filene's Basement and Ann Taylor LOFT and - wait for it - I tried on some tops that were size Large and they were too big! TOO BIG! I haven't actually been a Medium since high school. I've been getting Large or XL tops, depending on how it's supposed to fit. So now, depending on how it's supposed to fit, I'm a M/L. I got my hair cut today and went across the street to Wheaton Plaza to try on more Larges that are too big for me, just so I could feel the personal satisfaction of knowing I've slimmed down a bit. (Also, the clothes looked really cute with the sassy hair.)
I am so ready for this tattoo to heal. Hopefully it'll be done this week. I've really only been able to wear sneakers since my ballet flats just cover the outline and I don't want them to screw it up. Being able to wear real shoes would be fabulous.
My mom and I watched P.S. I Love You last night, and though I'd heard pretty bad things about it and was prepared to hate it, I actually really liked it. I cried. A lot. I wasn't a big movie crier until I had some life experiences and thus have a frame of reference. I hadn't been in love or had a broken heart or anything, and now I have, so I get rather emotional. We still have the movie for a couple more hours (we got in On Demand), so I'm watching it again because I'm a nerd. Also, I think I need to marry an Irishman with a brogue and musical abilities. Perhaps I should go live in Ireland for awhile. It's definitely up there on my list of favorite places I've been. Nowhere else is like it ... though I guess the same could be said for pretty much anywhere I've been.
I found the very dangerous fabulousscrapbook.com the other day. I'm in dire need of a creative project so I'm going to get started on my Japan scrapbook and my Europe one, which I haven't done even though it's been 4 years. I'm excited - they're going to be gorgeous. :)
