Manic monday! Whoa. Actually it was more of a Manic Sunday, but then Monday was crazy in result. Plus, a lot of what I consider my Sunday activities actually took place Monday morning, as I didn't actually finish my paper until 4am. Which is totally Monday.
But it's done now! Yay. And I had a great weekend, and don't regret putting all my work off until Sunday night, because you know I didn't come to NYC to stay in my room and study all the time. Even if it feels like that sometimes.
We went to the Knitting Factory Saturday night, which is this club waaaay downtown that is tiny and a lot of fun. We went to see Azure Ray, who were amazing. Also fun was when Conor Oberst got on stage during one of the opening bands' sets and sang the chorus. Yeah. True life.
Besides the whole not-sleeping thing it is really not good for you to spend 12 hours straight writing about translations of Genesis. Trust me. Anne-Marie and I went to the vending machines together late last night and we were both, like, incapable of speaking. I rambled on about tools of the patriarchy and she ranted on about how Much Ado About Nothing is really all about Jesus. And then we ate some junk food and everything seemed a little bit better.
Now I need to take a shower and clean up my room a little bit (at least stack all those Bibles...) and then I am not doing anything else productive for the rest of the night. I swear.
