A good life.

Ten weeks.
Five observations.

That means there are only five weeks left of Student Teaching, and three more observations. One observation is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, and the last two will consist of a double period which will count as two observations. I'm loving teaching and being with the kids everyday. I love that the seventh graders call me "Chief Grammarian" and seventh graders who aren't even in my class greet me in the hallway. I love that every morning, a specific student exclaimns "HI, MS. KOHLER!" loudly from the hallway. I love that the eighth graders know I'm crazy and that I never need to raise my voice to get them under control. I love that I have made a difference for at least one student. I love listening to the seventh graders read in their crazy accents. I love seeing kids be kids, and when they really get into a novel or piece of literature. Especially after they claim it's "boring."

Ten weeks ago, I was nervous and unsure of myself as a teacher. Today, I'm saddened because there are only five weeks left. In five weeks I will be done with one of the most important experiences in my career.

I'm learning so much, but that's the most important aspect of this experience.
