Across the street where I work...
Right across from the Archdiocese (or the Arch, as I call it) , on 55th St. (next to Dessert Delivery) and St. John's Rectory is a lovely little store called WOWY. They have products made by autistic adults including greeting cards, t-shirts made from their artwork and other gift items like frames, jewelry and baby items.
Someone in my building found it a couple of weeks ago and it is a great little resource and for a good cause so I thought I would share with all of you if you need to write notes or need a quick gift.
In addition, the organization trains these adults to be messengers, do xeroxing etc. It is part of a group called www.specialcitizens.org
