The constant push pull of life mid-semester always makes everything more exciting.
My home is a tiny practice room on the 6th floor. If you're lucky you can find a room that faces the highway; there is a giant window that streches the entire west-facing hallway. At night I can watch lights appearing and disappearing down the highway as I play through scales and arpeggios.
Saturday night I met Michael Showalter at a booth that was giving away free cigarettes. He told me I smelled like coconut. I told him my perfume was supposed to smell like chocolate. He mumbled something and walked away.
I have developed a newfound appreciation for taking walks and being overly thoughtful.
