Young hearts

I heard the sweetest thing ever today at work.  First I need to explain a bit.

Colleen Coble (local Christian Fiction Author) had a book signing at work today, along with another author.  For this occasion we had balloons everywhere in our store.  A lady came into the store (the owner knows her and I've seen her in the store a lot) with her two sons.  Her youngest is about 3 or 4 and her older son is 6 or 7.  The younger boy saw the balloons and his eyes just grew wide.  Kevin, my boss, decided to take him to the back and blow him up two balloons and tied them to a string.  He had two balloons on one string and was walking around the store with the balloons hovering over him.  It was so cute.

Anyway, his mom told us that their dog died a few years ago and her youngest boy asked about their dog the other night.  He asked her if their dog, Babe, was in Heaven.  The mom explained that their dog was in Heaven.  He said he was glad because he wanted to see his dog again.  The little boy then asked his mom if balloons go to Heaven.  She told him that they do.  (Sometimes they would let their balloons go and float up in the air and the mom always told her sons they were going to Heaven).  Well, the little boy told his mom that there's going to be lots of balloons in Heaven with him and his dog.  His mom just kind of laughed, smiled and explained that there would be.  She was telling us about this, but the little boy brought up the subject a bit today when he saw the balloons tied up everywhere.  It was just TOO cute!!!  =)  Little kids are so great... they're just adorable.  hehe today was fun.  We were busy off and on and when it was slow, I'd find kids in the store and give them a balloon.  Man... how I wish to be a little kid again.

Sorry, I just had to share that.  It was too adorable not to share.  =)
