The Science of Random

I'm in the waiting lounge at Asian Hospital. Marty went in for surgery over two hours ago. You can exhale now, he's fine. The procedure went without a hitch. We have to wait for him until 2pm though. It's all well and good, except for the fact that it's only 10am. I don't want to leave and come back for him either, he might need a drink or a snack or something along those lines.

I'm so glad he's okay. Get ready for the pity party...in 3, 2, 1. It's just that I've gotten so used to him. I honestly don't know what it will be like if we weren't together. Okay, that's it for today. I'd much rather chat with people, but I can't connect to YM! Of all the days in the year. Argh.

This WeRoam doesn't ever really ROAM properly. I can't access my work email either. It's so moody. Other than that, work's been just dandy. My team's great. It's always best when you work with people who are competent. Save for one guy who just can't seem to get up to speed. But, it will be over soon. His ass is grass by the end of the month.

I've been reading a lot again, my hours at work and the type of work I do affords me this luxury. Just finished "Me Talk Pretty One Day" by David Sedaris (which is two hoots and a holler, make that five hollers) and "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini (which made me bawl like a baby). Two very different but both awesome writers. Now, I've started with "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger, which is pretty interesting so far.

I've also started going to the gym again. We get discounts at work, so might as well make the most of it. What else is it there for? Gold's Gym is much cheaper than Fitness First, and the bathrooms are so much better, but there's only one branch that is remotely in my area --the one in Galleria. So far, I've only been able to go on weekends, with Aimee and Dex. I don't think that's often enough though. Oh well.

This entry will seem unfinished, maybe because it is.
