my life is a party.
you have to work hard but party harder to keep sane. i'm so thankful to have friends who are totally awesome and supportive.
it's been over a year since i graduated college. holy crap. i can't believe that some of my friends have been at their jobs for a year now. i'm happy that i have a full time job and all the good stuff that comes with it and although i pretty much dread going to work everyday...you can't knock summer fridays and going to work in t-shirt and jeans. look for my name in the masthead.
i've been so exhausted but it's summer time and i got to kick it right.

thursday:
-"the creature" @ sapphire lounge: the creature is a bi-weekly dance party, new to the scene and everyone should check out in nyc. the occassional drink special and awesome crowd where everyone just wants to dance. dj's broccoli, jagga, and doorknobs all had great sets that keep the people groovin'. a little indie rock, shitty techno, midtown metal....i think is how they liked to describe it. the guest dj this week was matthew "fluxblog" and he played an awesome christina aguilera jam...i was down.
-"singles going steady" @ beauty bar: this is the new party at beauty bar every thursday night, death metal is now at guero in the L.E.S. anna and i danced up a storm. we were the only ones dancing by the bar, the back was closed off. i think that next time i'll have to check it out earlier in the evening cause apparently it was packed.
friday:
-"crashin'in" @ supreme trading: this was the last crashin'in at supreme trading and i'm so fucking happy about it because those mofos are dickwads. i was peeing and some dude kept banging on the door and then he opened it and saw me crouching on the bowl. so ridiculous. you want to know why 2 girls go to the bathroom together asshole? it's cause your mothereffin locks on your bathroom doors don't work. i used to like this place for the outdoor area for smoking, but boycott supreme trading. boycott i say. but anyways!!! crashin'in is an awesome party and you need to check it out. cameron was spinning and it was raaddddddd! you can never get enough morrissey. it's moving to galapagos in williamsburg on n.6th. your mix of brit-pop, electro, and everything you want to hear.
-"fixed" @ don hill's: jdh and dave p.'s party. always a good time, not as crowded as i thought it would be when i got there but i heard it was packed after 2. more dancing, more bangers...
saturday:
-"adidas party" @ pier 40: i can't think of a better combination than hot kids, free bbq and sapporo, the world cup, and an organized soccer competition on a roof along the westside highway. it was overwhelming and lots of fun. someone called it myspace but in real life...ha. it was like six degrees of seperation, everywhere you turned you knew someone who knew someone. i ate so much and got drunk during the day in the summer heat..that's the way i like it.
-savalas: at this point my feet were hurting from 2 nights of dancing but of course i danced 'til last call. the bangers + jdh + dave p.
emmy and i grooved to some old school r'nb and then danced up a storm to party jams. i had so much fun, i danced more last night than i have ever danced before. amazing. it was hot and grimey in savalas and everyone loved it.
i had such a horrible work week but i had so much fun towards the end that it made this week great.
i've got more shimmying in me.
off to bbq and the renegade craft fair! yeahhhh!!!!!!
