(no subject)
Today has been interesting...
Spoke to a guy in England who claims to be part of a company called Aon Communications Plc which is going to set up an office in Ottawa. This company has various goals and one of the things they do is design and develop web sites. He read my post on "marketplace" on facebook advertising that I am looking for a volunteering position listing interests I have and what my personal goals are -- he replied. Now, this whole thing does have an odor to it and I don't want to get my hopes up in case this is a total load of ... Well you know. He says that having me work with them would be good for me and them since having someone to do the HTML or basics others don't want to do saves them time and in turn I would be paid under 200$ a month. I know that seems low but it is so that I am allowed to keep the funds rather than give it to Welfare. This would mean I would be getting 832$/month rather than just 632$/month which would make life a little more comfortable. Also, once I am better I would probably be able to be hired directly into the company giving me not only a job but a career that I always wanted, in a field that I love. I'm getting ahead of everything... The office has not been opened in Canada yet, but he is, again supposedly, coming to Ottawa Jan 10th in the evening and will start getting the office, and company started in the Americas. All I can do now is sit and wait... And possibly hope and pray this is a true opportunity.
Donna went to work for her 10pm to 6am shift and not long after 10pm I got a phone call. She was crying and babbling about her boss getting on her case about shovelling the snow. Apparently the boss visited the group home on the weekend, please note it snowed a lot this weekend, and "discovered" that the driveway was not shovelled. Donna shovelled on Friday and did not work all weekend so she came in on Monday to get chewed out because someone didn't shovel on the weekend. Isn't that just moronic?!? Anyway... I have about 3/4's of her resume done I just need some last details and then she'll hopefully be sending it to lots of places.
Lastly, I played WoW today obviously. I am really liking my hunter BloodRains and am finding I prefer playing her to my shaman GreatRayne -- oh well. I met someone new from the guild, he goes by Becklasa and plays a druid. He's a nice guy and a good player as well... He's also good company too. Hopefully this friendship can grow some and it is a shame he doesn't live in Ottawa.
Had a nasty headache today, not sure if it was due to stress caused by the conversation I was having with the gentleman from England or side effects of the medication adjustment. I will make a note to write down anything else that's strange in the next few days.
Kind of sad that I moved journals because I have no friends, or readers here... Mind you in a way that is kind of liberating because I really don't have to care about what I write, and those who do read it right now well I don't know them so I really don't care what they think...
