(no subject)
After some tinkering I got the name of the file that wouldn't copy from the install CD and was able to find a "good" version on my other computer. So reinstalled windows again for the upteenth time, then copied the file into the system32 folder, rebooted and tadaa everything works properly again.
I'm pleased, since this means when we get the net instead of dicking around with the boring work I can busy myself with installing software and organizing my stuff. Hopefully I can get Donna to organize the office while I transfer over her music, format, and fix the windows install on the other machine so we'll be starting fresh.
Donna was informed that she's only working til 10pm today, only doing a 5 to 10pm tomorrow and possibly off on Wednesday. Like I said before it's kind of bittersweet news... though I am glad she'll be around when the videotron tech will be here.
Also, we have to run out and get a router and possibly WoW for me.
