Well, I'm back in Normal. Having my computer set up in the bedroom makes me go on the internet a lot more. No good, no good. I missed my friends here but not school, which I am not looking forward to starting again tomorrow. You can probably tell that since I'm up this late, have to get up at 8:30, and need about 10 hours of sleep to function properly.

I also ended up with "Experiencing Theatre" on my schedule last minute to fulfill a gen. ed. requirement. Julie J, you'll have to help me out. Will I hate this or can you tell me amusing anecdotes about theatre professors to get me though?

Lockport was getting depressing around the time I left anyways. Almost every single one of my friends from home have moved to Chicago so I always have to go see them and have to watch my drinking so I can drive home and leave when the party is still fun because I have an hour drive back etc. etc. My town is changing a lot too. Every main street I know has moved over because of the I-355 extension and the place I grew up in is becoming less and less familiar. When I bring our puppy Lucy outside (who is amazing and a perfect addition to my dad's house, pictures later) I can hear the bulldozers and see the cranes for the Super Wal-Mart, across from my old high school which is already a traffic disaster on its own. Way to plan things, Lockport.

In short, I don't like change and it is beyond me why people can never let things be and have to keep building, changing, building, forcing their way into places they really shouldn't fit, building a subdivision over my childhood fort and favorite bike trail... these things have always been issues with me, but especially lately.

My grandpa got a Dachsund named Dino (after Dean Martin) and they are so cute together. Dino loves my grandpa and follows him around everywhere and sleeps on his stomach while he's watching tv and is a really good companion for him. We try to do things with him a lot more since my grandma died but everyone works, has school, all that stuff so I'm really happy that he found a dog that he likes having around to keep him company.

I should probably try to sleep.
