I have a confession to make. I started my NaNo a month early. *ducks away from NaNo gods' lightning bolts*
Well, technically it was approximately two and a half weeks early, since I started on October 13. So, technically, NaNoWriMo will officially end for me on November 13. And technically I'm about 5,200 words short on the official NaNo schedule, since at this point I have a little under 5k and I'm apparently supposed to have 10k.
But since I'm already breaking rules...
On a happier note, my new novel is going really well, with no plot holes, boring characters, or painfully cheesy dialogue. This is a rarity for me. The only thing I am lacking is a title. Once upon a time, it was "Defective," but since I recently digressed from a sci-fi novel and "Defective" sounds a bit too sci-fi-y (is there an adjective form of sci-fi?), I need a new title. I've been throwing around words like "ghost" and "plague"... "City of Ghosts," "City of Plagues," "Ghost City," "Invisible City"...
Yeah. You get the idea.
I also got another rejection letter today. Well, sort of. It was a six-word email that basically said, "Thanks, but no thanks." I was left blinking and staring at the screen in confusion, waiting for something more substantial to pop into my inbox. It was a polite email...it was just...very, very short. *shrugs*
