Hey there, luv =) This is a fly by comment to highly recommend the series "True Blood" to you. Knowing your interest in vampires, I think this one would be right up your alley. The show just started in its second season - ep 5 this Sunday - and the first season only had 12 episodes, each an hour long. Easily something to catch up with over a weekend!

Hm. I feel as if I should provide a trailer or something... but then again, going into the first episode blindly is truly the best thing. Trust me. I will provide a basic (very basic!) sypnosis, and link to the show's intro (which is just kickass).

Synopsis: The series was developed by 'Six Feet Under' creator Alan Ball, based on the "Southern Vampire" series of novels by Charlaine Harris. The plot centers around Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a dive bar in swampy rural Louisiana. She's got a brother, chronic womanizer Jason (Ryan Kwanten), an opinionated best friend Tara (Rutina Wesley), Tara's even more opinionated and flamboyant cousin, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), a mysterious boss (Sam Trammell) and a crush on a vampire, the 175 year-old former Confederate soldier Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). So, as you can imagine, Sookie's life is complicated. And that's before you factor in the serial killer who seems to be targeting people close to Sookie (which helpfully sets up her dimwitted brother to take the fall).

Opening Sequence!

This is the first four minutes of episode one. You don't see any main characters, but you get a sense of the atmosphere and style. It repeats the opening credits from above.
