Music Video Ideas - Input Please

Hey guys,

I've been stumped on video ideas lately (maybe it's school draining me lol). Does anyone have any suggestions? I need some fresh ideas. I know that I want to use some music by Gary Numan again (I used his Haunted song for my most recent Batman Begins video and his Slave song for Forever Knight), so it will be a dark theme.

When listening to Evanescence's "Snow White Queen", I couldn't help but think of Hannibal and will Clarice. This is due to your H/C vids, I'm sure, but the idea remains. The song would easily work for any obsessive-lovey pairing.

It's funny you mention that... when I heard that song I immediately thought of H&C, too, but lately I am just not in the mood to edit that pairing. It's definitely the first song I would use though for them, if I feel inspired to edit H&C again. ;)

Did you see The Prestige yet? Talk about a mind-blower!

Not even inspired for Bateman? Eesh. I've a few vid ideas I could pass along; goodness knows I've no time for them myself.

I haven't, no, but I really want to! As soon as it's up for download, I'm on that link like a lion on fresh prey.

LOL! I highly recommend seeing Prestige in theatres if you have the chance. Nothing beats the big screen. ;)

I'm open to Bateman or Batman ideas. Feel free to share! Maybe, they will inspire me. :)

Indeed :) I want to see that and Stranger than Fiction in theaters. But alas, I lack the money for either venture. Boo.

I didn't have any ideas for either of those, but I would love to see what you could do with Hero. A slow techno-y rock song might work, depending on the lyrics and such. Or perhaps a vid without any lyrics at all?

Of course, I'm dying for your videos to The Prestige. Mmm...magical slash :P

Heh, yeah Prestige will definitely be interesting to edit. It's such a complex, layered film. I'll have to do a lot of planning for that one.

I haven't seen Hero. What is it about?

Hero is more about style over substance, but the story it tells is still an interesting one. Ying Xiong has one of those twist and turn plots, yet it's never confusing. I do recommend a rental. I'd upload a copy myself - I still have the .vob hogging quite a bit of HD space - but I can't get the subtitles to work. The only copy I did find with the subs had them too near to the middle of the screen, which was rather annoying.

You could look up the plot on imdb... or just go with a blind rental. I of course entirely recommend the latter.

If it played fine before then the disc should be fine, especially if there isn't any scratches. Try testing it on a regular dvd player and also test some other dvds on your laptop and see if they work.

Not sure if you're still seeking vid ideas, but I had this one I figured I'd send ya.

Sin City vid, focusing on the women throughout the film and the men they manipulate/effect. The song is Rev 22-20 by Puscifer. The way the beat moves and seduces reminds me of Nancy and Goldie.

I'm on a low connection at the moment - will be on cable in a few hours - so let me know if you'd like me to upload =)

The song gets a bit scattered towards the end, but I think you'd handle it well. =)

By the by, did you happen to see Hero? Oh, and the dvd worked fine in a regular dvd player. The menu tends to freeze up and get all pixelly, but I can still access the videos (and they play beautifully without a glitch).
