lots of stuff...
turkey day is always fun. my uncle came down yesterday and after school we had lunch with him and the went home and chilled out. today i got to sleep (finally!!) and then help with making stuff for dinner/lunch i guess...i mean we ate at 2, so i dunno... then this other family joined us. apparently my grandparents knew them. so we ate and ate and ate. it was yummy...i was surprised, i wasnt as hungry as i usually am on thanksgiving. anyhoo, after they left, my uncle took a nap and my parents, sister and i watched a bit of tv. then when he woke up, we played the game he had given us called Squint. it was a lot of fun. then we played apples to apples which is always amusing. then cameron and i played ping pong for about 2 hours. and now im sitting on my bed writing this...i should probably stop there, but i feel obligated to write stuff about the musical.
so Can-Can...so the speaker blew 3 days before the performance and after that was fixed, we had the worst day of mice EVER! so then this guy came in and made it all better! he was such a life saver
so the first performance on friday wasn't bad. i dont really remember how that one went....except for the fact that i spent most of it hanging out of the window of the booth, which i do anyways, so it wasnt much different from a rehearsal except we had no susong stopping us to tell us we did something wrong
saturday was crappppp...it all started with michael managing to unplug his mic for the entire first scene. so thats always a good time...i was hanging out the window and had jane leaning over and pointing to michael and putting her hand to her ear...and of course i was like ummm yeah i know...we have him all the way up...other things went well, like Gough's mic, which wasnt working on friday....and then of course abou had to have a mic on the piano because "it couldnt be heard over the piano" so of course me and kelsie were maxing out the levels and that equals not good
so sunday was definitely our best sound day! wheee! but then it was over! and that means no more sound! yayayayayay! jeez was it an absolute nightmare! i think we definitely caught the mose abuse from a certain director..... but w/e anyhoo
and then there's basketball which was hellish during tech week. but we have had 2 scrimmages so far...against severn and friends. we lost to severn by about 3 points but we creamed friends. so thats all for now in the bball department
i think thats about it...i'll probably post more often now that i have more free time. yay!
