Aloha t' all y'all....

Well, well - where to begin....?

I'm loving school. Simply loving it. Just rounded off three weeks of intense sculpture classes with a small "vernissage", and I got positive critics. I had five pieces in total; a hunch-backed man in different materials (the main one being wax), three death masks (one in wax, wire, and toilet paper soaked in pva - a kind of glue - and water, one in white plaster with black tears, and one in black plaster where parts of the face were covered in a pink, rubber-like substance), and an anatomically correct foot in clay. One of the art teachers thought I had went to art school before, and she also said that my death masks reminded her of drowned people in a river...
Today I started another three week bulk, this time with painting as the topic. Started off by learning how to mix pigments with water and pva, to make acrylic paint. The teacher then assigned us to paint seven sheets of cardboard in seven different colors, all of them specified. Very boring, but I guess that kind of basic stuff comes in handy at some time in the future. One thing I didn't quite manage, though, was to make black out of yellow, blue, and red....

On October the 12th I'm going to the US with my choir, which I think will be very cool. The one thing I'm looking forward to the most, is actually the social bonding between the members of the choir. But I suspect that New Orleans and New York will play a big part in the fun as well :) Shopping spree, here I come....

Been single for a while now, and it's been ok. I've been crazy and done some wacky stuff, and now I feel a bit more settled and ready for a new round of lovin'. Met a real sweet guy not so long ago, and there seems to be some mutual emotions on the lose.... His name is Kent, he's 32, has practically no hair (shaved), and a three-day-beard. He's rugged, which I like - mucho! He's dark, with bright, blue eyes, and has a bit of a tummy, which, in addition, I also like, too - as well..... (love that sentence)
He has a great personality and lots of humor. And a very adorable Grand Danois (or Great Dane?), named Corab.
