1. duke basketball:
   What can I say? Is it possible to go to Duke and not be in love with the basketball team? God it's just amazing. I can't even put into words how i feel about duke basketball. I don't think you can really understand it if you don't go here. But at Duke, basketball is like a religion. We fawn over players. We worship Coach K (literally... during games we bow to him like he's some sort of god). We live in tents during the two coldest months of the year, just to see them play. duke basketball is my favorite thing about duke.
2. friends:
   Of course I love my friends. Or else they wouldn't be my friends. There really isn't anything else to say.
3. movies:
   Movies are cool. I have a tendency to get way to involved. And that's what makes me love them so much.
4. music:
   Basically I don't know what my life would be like without music. Whether it's singing church music or listening to rock, all music is awesome and makes the world a better place.
5. musical theatre:
   See above. Musical theatre is such a great experession of life. Sure it can be exagerrated and stupid, but even so it's still great. Musicals have always made me happy in a way that nothing else really can. Plus they're so much fun to be in. Rehearsals are awesome because you get to hang out with so many cool people. And performances give me a high that is completely inexplicable. There is nothing better than the feeling you get after an amazing performance.
6. pirates '04:
   An amazing group of girls. Even though I didn't like all of them individually, by senior year I had grown to love and appreciate our grade for what it was.
7. reading:
   Books rock. I love spending a saturday reading a book. I've been doing that for as long as I can remember, even going back to the Boxcar Children and Babysitters Club (you know you read them) in like 1st grade.
8. singing:
   I am pretty much always singing. If there's music on, i'm most likely singing along with it. Once again, I've enjoyed singing for as long as I can remember. The more I do it the more I love it.
9. swimming:
   Oh swim team. I look back on it with such fondness even though i clearly remember the pain and frustration. I complained the whole season, skipped often, and was really, really terrible. but even so, it kind of defined high school for me. I left this on my interest list because I really do like swimming. I'm a huge water person, and I love being in the pool. My favorite part of swim practice was always that very first lap. When I was just warming up, before i got tired. It feels so awesome to just cut your way through the water. I wish I still went to the pool occasionally.
