has anyone had a traffic violation ticket in the city of Atlanta where you might recall the amount you had to pay???
i had a little itty bitty fender bender...(shhhh), i somehow ran a red light...so since there was an accident involved (even though i admitted guilt!) i have to go to court! how stupid and wasteful is that? not just of my own time, but the damn city's money...because they pay people to deal with a complete waste of time case like this. anyway, so i call to try to find out how much my ticket will be...and they can't tell me a damn thing.
that just pisses me off.
she was like, "we don't have a standard amount for tickets that require a court appearance". um what?
she went on to say they accept cash, personal checks, credit cards, yadda yadda. how does that help me if i don't how much i need to have in my checking account???
"so you have no clue, not even a ballpark of how much money i will need to have/bring to pay my fine"
"no"
(it is determined by the judge evidently? does this mean i wear my shortest skirt and try to create cleavage? just in case it is a male chauvinist judge)
retarded!
anyway...anyone have any idea how much this will be? i'm sure they are slapping on huge court costs as well, because they are bitches.
i'm guessing $150-ish??
but maybe running a red-light has a more hefty fine than speeding? i've never had this violation before...
(oh yeah, and they changed my court date w/o letting me know! so i wouldn't have found out the new date unless i had called today...and the woman on the phone had no idea why it was changed. wtf is wrong with this system?)
