(no subject)
so, as always it's been forever since i've updated.
my summer has been going pretty well, i'd say it's taken a turn for the better. i've done a lot of stuff, here's a bit of a reflection on it:
things i've done:
-dorney with my friends
-beach with my girls
-beach with my family
-boston with kris
-virginia to visit my jmu'ers
-beach a few more times with fam/friends
-4th of july beach
-inner harbor with steve
i'm trying to think what else i've done, i'm sure theres more but i cant think of it right now. but, it has been good. a lot of things have been different, unexpectantly different. i guess that everyone is right when they say that summer after freshman year is weird. all my friends are working a lot, including me, an d we all have what seems to be opposite scheldules. so for like the first time ever in order to do stuff together we have to make plans several days in advance,e ven if it's just to hang out at someones house. that's kind abeen a bummer, but at least i still get to see most of them.
it's also been weird bc there have been some people that i havent seen like at all. some people that i thought i'd see and hang out with this summer that i really have only seen once or twice. but honestly, i'm not very upset about it, becuase things will be how they'll be! and of course, i'm hanging out with people that i really have a good time with. sure i miss others, but it's all good.
i'm really excited to go back to school, i go in exactly one month yesterday. i just have a lot of things to look forward to this year. living with a new room mate, some really cool suitemates. i feel like i have a pretty established group or groups of friends, and i'm happy that i have something to go back to. it really is crazy how you can meet and get to know people so quickly freshman year, i'm a pretty big fan of it.
i'm also looking forward to my new room, i'm living in a really pretty dorm that was completely gutted and redone last year/this summer. so i wil lbe the first person to live in the room that i have. i have a few ideas for how i want to set it up, but we'll see. one thing is that i'll definetely miss my old roomie, renee. we had some really fun times, and just got along bc we were both pretty weird and entertaining people. but i'm sure this year will be filled with it's own adventures
another thing is that for the first time i'll actually have people from home at my school. dan brechbiel and kevin dupuis are going this year, so it'll be great to see a familiar face at home. i really think they'll like it a lot there!
but anyway. i think that the rest of my summer will be pretty decent. a few more beach trips, maybe day trips, who knows? definetely some work, but it's not all that bad. i need the money, so it'll be worth it when ih av emy car at school this year and can go visit my friends at other schools. i'll definetely be making road trips to psu and muhlenberg, that's for sure :)
