Wow, my friends have had such great entries lately I've got stagefright.
I am seriously more broke than I've ever been, so today I went into Macaroni Grill hoping to get a summer/weekend job. There is only one of my old managers left and she hugged me and was so happy to see me. I start tomorrow. I'm such a sucker who can't say no. But its really good. I need money now, thats the best way to get it. I hardly know anyone there, which is good for me. I'm just going to focus on the dough.
It's stormy like crazy here. It started hailing on me on my way home. All I need is some hail damage to take my car in for, its been in for every other reason in the past month. I'm not mad at it though, I bought it used and its still been pretty good to me. Plus its almost 5 years old now.
I had plans to go on a date w/Bry tonight but since then Travis has decided to have a Bachelor party. His wedding is also tomorrow. I'm going to go smelling like macaroni grill. Sweet.
I subbed all week in art class. I wish I was good at art. Or knew something about it. Interestingly, though, I found out that my old 2nd grade teacher from Bloomington (Miss Dome then) is now a teacher at Forest Dale, here in Carmel (where I've been subbing all week). I recognized her at lunch. She remembered me, and my PUnky-like looks, obviously. It was nuts.
I still feel like a kid sometimes. Then I remember I'm just a boring adult now. But just like Shley, I've been reading a ton. Since the weekend I've read Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse 5 & Slapstick. I'm working on Anna Karinina now. It's huge. I most likely won't finish it. I have a tendency to drag out books that have over 300pgs for years. I think I'm still reading "I know this much is true" and its only 600pgs. This one is 800+. But Tolstoy is good.
Nothing else to report. I got a Real Simple magazine and a VS catalog so I'm gonna watch Oprah and read those mags. Being girly is just the thing to do on a rainy day. I may throw in a bath.
BUT...in a few hours I will put on my Padres hat, get a beer and watch the Pacers. Thats when tomboy Kris rears her head.
ps- I forgot to tell you all about Jury Duty. It was gruelling. He was not guilty. It was a rape case. I was there forever Monday and Tuesday. Good experience, wierd experience, welcome to adult life.
