mmm...cookies
I'm currently at the Grandparents house. I love being here. It's so home. And I get fed great food!! Tonight Grandma made burgers and now we're baking cookies. Yum yum. I finished my School Counseling Portfolio today, while here. I'm stoked about that. All I have to do is edit and make corrections on my research paper and I'm DONE for the semester. Woo hoo. Thursday night I went to Conner Prarie for "Follow the North Star" Underground Railroad Reinactment, wrote the paper Friday morning, and voila! I'm just about done w/school. I'd really like to dive into that experience of being a slave, but I'm sure you can figure it out, I'm getting tired of telling the story of my lame two hour torture (nothing, really, compared to the real thing).
Okay, so last night I was in Chicago for Shley's going away party. It was fun, and funny funny, but too short! I feel like I could say bye forever, and party hard w/the friends forever as well. But, it was nice not to be hung over this morning...or broke. I had to put so much gas in my car today and fill up my oil. I needed that beer money! I seriously haven't laughed as hard as I did last night in a LONG time. Just seeing Heather getting run over by Buckley, and Angie getting humped by Buckley was enough to invoke hour-long giggles...but watching Heather and Angie crack up too was enough to make me laugh water out my nose for hours. Good times. I miss my people.
Fast forward back to today. I've decided to spend Sundays w/my grandparents while Bry's jazz band practices. It's noisy at home and way more fun here. But they sound rad, the band that is, I can't wait to have them perform at my initiation next week.
I'm looking forward to Cali, but a bit nervous. I'm sooooo broke and I'm still stressing over how busy I'll be this week. I'm just getting over being sick for days and I am scared it will come back b/c I just can't get a break. I'm busy all week this week, again, and wont be home til 10 every night this week AGAIN. Grr... good news is this can't last forever!! :)
