How is it already 6pm?? I don't know where the day went!!
I got up at 6am, and left for work about 7. I drove, because I needed every spare minute I could get and the train wastes too much time sometimes. I got to work as soon as I got to work (heehee). We had one budget meeting this morning, and I had some month end stuff to finish up, plus weekly stuff from last week and my weekly reports for this week. I blinked and it was 11!
I did make time for a run to Starbucks. My coffee from dunks this morning was awful... and that's saying something because I'll usually drink almost anything as far as coffee goes. It tasted like warm water, it was so weak. Yuck! So I got to Starbucks for my Chai Eggnog Latte and then ran into the board room for another software demo.
And at 5, I finally emerged. I was barely able to keep my eyes open through this one. We were all a bit punchy by this point, with the meetings and the demos. Tricia had picked up a cold over the weekend, and judging by the way I was feeling yesterday afternoon and this morning, I think I'm attempting to fight off the same thing. I'm not sick yet, so I'm still battling it, but I definitely feel run down.
My parents got back from their cruise last night, so Jaci & I drove into the airport to pick them up, and then we all got dinner at Kowloon on Rt. 1. It was ok... not as good as it usually is. I'm so glad they're back because now I don't have to feel guilty when I work late and ignore the cats. Poor things have been stuck in or out for entire days thanks to my crazy schedule.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire opens on Thursday!!! Yay! A group of us are going at midnight (Susan, Chirelle, Joelle, Jesse, and Liz) and then another group are going on Friday night at 9pm (Chirelle, Liz, and then a bunch of my sister's friends). I'm excited, but I'm nervous about getting enough sleep, etc between now and then.
Ok, I gotta finish my work so I can get out of here. I just gotta email some reports and then I can take off. I wish there was time to fit in a nap before chorale. I can hardly believe it, but our concert is just under 4 weeks away! We've got 5 rehearsals left, counting tonight. And that supposed solo I may or may not be doing, we haven't even touched the song since that first time it was brought up. Eeeeek!
Oh, and in one last final random thought... on my way out of my house this morning, I spotted and OLD cd of the Nutcracker Suite. I grabbed it and listened to it on my way into work. I would loooooooooove to see that sometime!!! I saw it once when I was a kid, but I'd love to go to the ballet as an adult. I wanna see an opera sometime too.
