Favorite story this year: Shadowboxing. I spent the whole summer writing it and I loved how it all came together.

Most popular story this year: I’m not sure. The whole hits and reviews thing can be misleading depending if something has more than one chapter.

Based on hits for a one-shot: The Gift.
Based on reviews/bookmarks: Shadowboxing

Most underappreciated by the universe: N/A

Most fun story: Shadowboxing

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Shadowboxing. I didn’t realize how much Steve and Matt had in common until I began writing them.

Hardest story to write: Sensorium. It took me forever to write because of the level of detail I wanted to immerse the reader into Matt’s world and his heightened level of senses.

Biggest disappointment: Reluctant Allies (Or the Time Frank Had to Bring Home the Devil). I know it was my first attempt at Daredevil, but I think I’d re-write whole chunks now because I feel like I’d have a better handle on Frank’s character.

Biggest surprise: Kākou. This was a gift-fic, so I was given the prompt, but I immensely lovely writing it. Such a thoughtful, heartbreaking idea that I felt turned into something pretty beautiful.

Most telling story: The Gift. I love Steve and Danny so much and this type of story is really in my wheelhouse.

Overall: It was nice to branch out into another fandom like Daredevil and further into cross-over territory with Captain America. But it was nice to bookend the year with H50.

Ambitions for next year: I’ve been tempted to dabble in Rogue One and Lethal Weapon, but I think I’ll stick with H50 and DD. I’ve been writing fanfic for a very long time and I always will. But I want to see what happens when I take the same time and energy into something of my own.So, I’ll work on a mix of both.
