This is so full of PLOT! I love it! I'm having so much fun trying to guess where it's headed and then being thwarted at each new twist and turn. (I do have a current working hypothesis, but who knows if I'm right?)

... and wow, it's easy sometimes to forget how many things have happened to their brains over the years!
I really love the low-key way that you handle Jennifer and Rodney here, by the way. There's nothing that's out of place in a gen story, but nothing that contradicts the canonical relationship either. Very nicely done. :)
And I also like the subtle way that you're handling Rodney's discomfort with Sheppard's condition, and how all the other stuff around them (the treaty, etc) is still going on ... it just feels like we've been plunked down in the middle of their lives here, into yet another crazy "average" day in the lives of Team Sheppard.
All he had to do was sign his name, shake hands, and leave.

This story felt *heavy* to me, but I knew you enjoyed plotty stories and I really enjoy writing them. I was constantly afraid it was 'too slow', but this needed a slow boil and a lot of team interaction. It was actually a ton of fun to write.
Jennifer and Rodney are together yes, and I wanted to show that in subtle ways, without hitting anyone over the head about it.
