Up and Down
I was so excited today because my mom and I got a call to set up our first appointments. We're going two weeks from today! She is at 1:30 and I am at 2:00. We're going to make all of our appointments together.
Then, our primary, decided they didn't want to give us referrals because it's a different medical group. Well, that's crap. We have the same primary. He gave her a referral for a cardiologist in a different network without a problem. Also, when I saw him on Friday I told him that I was going to be using the Southcoast Weight Loss Clinic, and he had no problem with it. Even said he would make sure that my blood work was forwarded over to them and that he knew one of the doctors in that group. My mom and I don't think it's actually the doctor. We think it's the office staff. We got pissed. They said they would look into it. Mom is going to call again in the morning.
If they won't give me the referral I will be finding a new primary and making sure I put some nasty reviews up. I don't want to use their weight loss clinic. Their surgical center is located in Boston. The Southcoast surgical center is right in Fall River.
Hoping that we have a better answer tomorrow. I don't want to go through the hassle of getting a new doctor. I already have this Doctor set up on my insurance. Plus, I really don't want to go through another new patient appointment.
