(no subject)
So my friends finished re-doing the main level flooring (which was not vandalized but did need to be repaired like whoa) and Ange called today and said it looks SO GOOD and asked if they can buy a new floor register b/c it's OBVIOUS how disgusting and old it is. I asked her to also get a new window covering because that is old and gross. I am so excited that people are going to get a totally different first impression when they walk into that house!!! She and Josh, her husband, are also going to do my basement for me.
My insurance company called and I was quoted $4,500 for carpet, paint, and trim... they FORGOT TO ADD IN REPLACING THE BROKEN WINDOW into the estimate. What??!!? So I think that is ridiculous. I asked Ange and Josh to do it for $1,000 plus supplies. I think I bought really cheap carpet at Lowe's before, like $300-500 worth, and paint won't run me more than $50. The window I'm going to guess will be around $100? I have no idea. And trim... let's say another $200 or so. That puts me at less than $900 for supplies and $1,000 in labor- much better than their damn estimate. So annoying.
So anyway that's hopefully going well.
As for the job, I had 2 days with the counselor before she went into labor- DAMN IT! So far it's ok but I only had one day without her. I felt like I wanted to throw up when I came in and they told me she wasn't there, lol. But I've been planning for groups. It's hard b/c they haven't even given me a computer (she took her laptop and her schedule home, so I am on my own COMPLETELY.)
I was going to say something else but I can't remember what it was. I hate when I do that.
