Today has been the best day of the year so far. After many struggles and doubts God has sent the light through the darkness in a phenomena way. Patience is such a virtue and it seems that it has finally bore fruit--today we received our first intent.
Kitty, as I affectionately dubbed her last fall, has been a support and companion from the very formation. She was always there and encouraging us, a welcome part of our little family. Today she came to us as we made masks for our upcoming Masquerade. She began with commenting on our skirts and attire (inspired by the speech last night Angus gave--ironically inspired by Kitty this year) and then mentioned how she felt loved whenever she was with us. Then she said, "And that's why when I finish the requirements I'm putting my intent into the household." My jaw hit the floor and I couldn't help laugh and cry. I've never been so happy before. I had thought she had chosen another household, so it came as a surprise-- a much welcomed one at that. God gave me a gift when I was expecting it least--and those are the ones that are the best.
Last night we offered stations for an intent and I had jokingly said "we already have a name for you." It always seemed appropriate that Kitty would join us. She was in our pictures we displayed for the household fair, even before she was an intent. After waiting and worrying, God has finally just let me know that it will be okay. I cannot explain the joy that I feel knowing that Kitty will become a sister. Today has been beautiful, I got dressed up, the sun was shining, the temperature was perfect and now an intent! God has truly blessed me this day! Praise him!
