I'm now an offical fryer!!!!!
Ok, so maybe that isn't exactly a lot, but for me, it's the world. I always seem to get put in front line, usually in Dining Room. Now, a pretty busy day, it's not so bad. But more than not it's terribly dull and boring. We have great customers, but I'm not a real people person. I'm shy, and so anyone that I don't know tends to make me nervous. But today I was put on fryers, and I was happy! It's very intense. (I know it sounds odd, but it's not as easy as you think! Really!) If you fall behind you get lost and need help. It's only my first day, but I think I'm catching on. I really liked it. It's hot, greasy, and more than once you burn your hand, but I love it! You tend to feel more like of a team with co-workers.
I was also happy to hear from several college friends once I got home. I really miss living on campus sometimes, and it helps to keep in touch with everyone. It's also nice to hear how everyone else is doing and what they're doing. After working nine hours it's great to come home, relax, and talk with friends.
