I had a fabulous time. MW may have a crappy hotel and not be smoothly run but I don't really care it's the people I go for.
There were nine of us this year and we decided ahead of time what panels we'd submit and who'd mod. So we had a mini Pros con within MW.
Sno and I arrived Thurs nit and
fjbryan picked us up in Lansing! Bit humid but I didn't care I was on a Pros vacation!!
We stopped for dinner and got to the hotel and ran into
sc_fossil and her roommates Carole and the other carol =0 Squee for happiness.
Shopped for the party and then decorated the door {{I finally remembered to bring pictures}} With roomies help they placed quotes with pics as I attached them to the door. I really just wanted to sit outside our room and gaze at door but roomies were hard taskmasters - they made me go places- eventually bed.
Fri morning we have breakfast at the con - aanh. We get our badges on time this year and head to dealer's room. Not like the old days, but what is (even I am not like the old days) but there were the Nuernberg sisters, Kate does art and Sally does glass etchings. . . \0/ happy dance. . . .I get stuff every year and she makes new stuff just for me . . .can I say happy!!!
We had a 4 o'clock panel time so off we went.
Panel 1:Future Lads - If Bodie and Doyle were transported to 2016, how would the change in culture have affected their professional and personal lives.
This was interesting because of the technology. . . . GPS tracking and all, cyber crime would be more helpful and cumbersome . . . .Cowley always knowing where they are. . . .CCTV catching the bum pinch and stolen kiss. . .
It was a lively discussion and more attended than just our Pros posse.
We dinned together, checked out the Art show - larger than the last 3 years out together and then we headed to the game room that has lage tables so we are not sitting on beds and floors of the rooms.
Game: Pros Against Humanity!!
OMG we laughed so hard and played for 3 hours straight. (It's like Apples to Apples on crack or Cards Against Humanity on crack and meth)

see why we laughed so hard. We gained spectators who didn't understand just why we were laughing so hard : )
Saturday was good as we went out for breakfast, like Sunday and Monday. . .way more fun!
Saturday panel: Cold-Blooded or Hot-Blooded? - Bodie and Doyle seem to be able to project an aura of cold-hearted, calculating men, particularly when it comes to their enemies - but their warmer, more human side is hard to keep down - is it just a put-on?
Bodie, not a put on if Doyle was hurt. Doyle - Not a put on at all =0
We had a 2 hour Pros Party. Watched episodes together, played Pros bingo and talked about our favorite lads.
From there we went to dinner so we could make a movie; A tradition we do each year - this year's movie was X-Men: Apocalypse - (slow moving but not a waste of 2+hours)
Sunday panel- 1st one - Episode discussions. . . that went by so fast we thought the next panel was coming in way! too early. I guess we never tire of these type of discussions.
The other panel of the day was Secrets, Clues and Decisions - ways the Lads cross the line.
Now I must admit that my mind went to their sex life immediately. . . look I'm shallow. . . .but half the group were thinking along the lines of their job decisions.. . . . .made a truly interesting discussion.
God, I love our fandom!!!
The art show was good, the art auction was longer than previous years, but picking up your art was slooooooooow. But the reward was another round of Pros Against Humanity.
I thought we were gonna kill Sno- she was laughing so hard she wasn't breathing for a few.
QUESTION: What would Doyle's mum find disturbing, yet oddly charming?
