Poor John! The family's been broken up again! :(

I do have one problem with the set-up for the story, not the John part, that's fine, but rather the plausibility of the IOA being able to keep Atlantis on Earth when the public still doesn't know about the Stargate. How are they keeping the city hidden? I mean, obviously they've got the cloak, and they've got Navy ships out there to keep other ships away so they don't run into anything, but Atlantis is supposed to be the size of Manhattan (which is about 60 square kilometers!), and last we saw, it's parked in the Pacific Ocean, right outside San Francisco, which is a major international shipping port. There's just no way it'd be possible to keep up that big of a charade in such a highly visible and traveled location for two years. A whole lot of people would've gotten really suspicious over the crazy amount of security focused on a seemingly empty patch of ocean.

Could they have moved Atlantis to a more remote location, perhaps? (Oh, the irony if they moved it back to Antarctica... Or maybe up to the Arctic Ocean... forget Superman's Fortress of Solitude, LOL!) That would probably be the best solution, especially if Atlantis itself is going to be a major location in the story. :)

I know, I've been thinking about that too... what about the city? It just can't stay right outside of San Fransico as people WILL start getting suspicious. I'll prolly make a quick reference in the first chapter about it moving to a barely used part of ocean around the Artic ;^)

But I don't think I'll be going back to Atlantis in the story, John has severed nearly all ties with his previous life, so the chance of him returning is really really small, but then again, miracles do happen ;^)

*nods* Yeah, at least a quick line or two early on so that readers don't get hung up on wondering what happened would be enough.

Aw, no going to Atlantis? *pouts* Come on, miracles! John needs a snog from his Lizzie! :D
