(no subject)
hey everyone...need your advice on this one. so, have a huge test tomorrow, been studying all day and all night for it when my friends suggested i meet them for A drink. so i did. and i saw another one of my friends who shall remain nameless at this time, and she looked absolutely horrible. i figured she was just really drunk, then i thought maybe she was high, then i realized her face was incredibly swollen like she had been crying for hours. i tell her she looks horrible, trying to make a joke of it, then hugged her and said, 'whats wrong baby?'
she unloaded more tears and told me her fiance had just beat the shit out of her. NOT what i expected to hear. hit her in the face (thus why she was also swollen besides tears), hit her in the back, stomach, kicked her in the head after he threw her on the bed, and then drug her off the bed and hit her again. and said, "the government is making me do this, i'm going to kill you'...

apparently he was on something, and that is what she used as justification for it, and she is terrified and doesnt know what to do. but drugs dont MAKE you do anything, they bring out feelings you otherwise keep inhibited. i've known plenty of people who have been on crazy shit and never beat the crap out of someone they loved. i told her to call me anytime she needed, 24/7 and i would come and take care of her. she just kept saying, what do i do? what do i do?
was i right in telling her to lay low for a couple of days, call work and tell them she can't work for awhile, and not talk to him? i have never seen her this way, never been in this situation with anyone before, and i was scared for her. poor thing was terrified. what can i do? all of the other girls were telling her they would kill her if she went back to him, but i just told her she can stay with me if she needs to and to call me no matter how late or if she knows im in class, i will go get her. i'm really upset about this, and honestly that guy better set foot near any of us, because we are a big group of people, we know lots of people, and the guys that were there tonight are saying if they ever see him they will kill him. i'm worried what will happen.
