Huurrrr, Sorry LJ. Forgot about you for, like, a month. Not that I've been up to anything interesting to any of you~
I think I'm finally ready to admit (and most of you are going to go "ISN'T IT OBVIOUS?") that Layton is my main fandom now. WHICH MAKES ME BAAAAW AND FEEL REALLY GUILTY, BECAUSE I WANTED TO HOLD ON TO KINGDOM HEARTS FOR THE REST OF FOREVER and I still love you, Roxas, of course~ But... I don't know, I was just so disappointed in Days (I still haven't picked it up since I got stuck on that stupid mission, I really should give it another shot) and it's just such a big fandom and I don't know anyone other than Roxas and it's so hard to feel involved in it.
And the Layton fandom is just the perfect size. I recognize just about everyone's name, I've made several friends already, hell, it got me back into drawing. I've never had such a rewarding experience in a fandom. (Because I'm always in the big ones. CCS, Code Geass, FMA)
Of course, Nano is still KH. And I'm still buying a PSP soon and importing Birth by Sleep. But hell if I'm not WAY MORE EXCITED for Devil's Flute and the Eternal Diva.
So, without further ado: Speaking of Layton, I'M A CRAZY PERSON.
So there's going to be a movie, which I'm super excited about, comes out in December, I've translated the trailers, everyone is excited. Here comes the drawback of small fandoms: When the hell do we get to see this movie over seas?
Because the games are 2 years behind Japan, and the movie takes place after the 4th game and hell if this fandom is big enough for fansubbers (much less a cam rip) so I worried a lot about being able to see this movie ever.
WHY DON'T I JUST GO SEE IT MYSELF? HARHARHAR.
So I'm going to Japan in December. Specifically to see this movie. (But also to visit sempai ♥) And
mizunosakura is coming along, too. I probably should have decided to go for more than 5 days buuuuuuuut too late now, I suppose. (what do I need to do in Japan other than simply be there, after all.)
Currently fretting over the hostel choices. Sempai is in Yokohama, so I figured I should stay there, but those hostels seem farther away from her than a decently priced place in Shinjuku. (Which is just silly. Why is Yokohama so big!?) BUT the decently priced place is only decently priced because it's a 12 bed dorm. (It's a capsule bed hostel. But the cheapest room comes with a note that says: "We do not have capsule beds in '12 shared room', but have 10 regular beds and 2 futons." FFFFFF) I, of course, have no problem with this. Especially since it's in Shinjuku, which is close to EVERYTHING. But goodness knows Jen's very loving family would explode at the idea. SO I HESITATE TO EVEN SUGGEST IT. Maybe I should just suck it up at go for the $36 capsule rooms. Staying in Shinjuku would be worth it. (とんでもない。山手線です。)
(There is, of course, always the JGH in Nishi-kawaguchi that is dinky beyond compare, but is also $10 cheaper than everything else in the whole COUNTRY. And I do love Nishi-kawaguchi so.)
*rambles* TL;DR I'M GOING TO JAPAN AGAIN, WOOOOOO.
Other than that, I have been drawing an absurd amount. My tegaki is getting a lot more attention from me than I'd realized I'd give it. (The professor is just so goddamn easy to draw) And I do stuff on paper every so often too. I've never been so pleased with myself while holding a pencil!
WHAT ELSE, WHAT ELSE.
Read Ender's Game. Mind blowing. Read The Freedom Writer's Diary. Addicting. Reading The Book Theif. idk, it's freakin' good, but it hasn't gotten to the point where I can't put it down. I am enjoying it, though. The narrator is amazing and I love him, though I really shouldn't, considering who it is.
I worked the midnight release of Halo 3: ODST last night. It was actually quite fun, especially because I didn't have to work a register ♥
I finally went to Disneyland and saw the new dragon mechanic for Fantasmic! It looked badass~ (But Sorcerer Mickey wasn't there.... which was weird, and disappointing, I love him.) And Friday the husbands and I are going again in goth loli clothes for the start of the Halloween season. The special music for Space Mountain better not suck this time.
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW. I'm going to go mourn Roxas' package now *sob*
