518: This season is losing steam
Whoa. Never have I realized the full crappyness of the new FMA series before this point.
I mean... it's REALLY bad.
And it's more than reused animation and weird hair outlines. The pacing for episode 7 was absolutely atrocious. I was having a hard time following and I already know what happens! They brushed over Sheska in a way that makes me easily forget about her, when she was a much more prominent character in the first series.
Also, the voices. This feels nitpicky, but the girls with very distinctive voices (Winry and Sheska) were both given new voices and both of them sound ridiculously generic. The acting is fine, but there's no personality to the sound itself.
I suppose I appreciate that they're getting through the beginning of the series so quickly, but if they were going to do it this badly, they should have just skipped ahead. The series is recent enough to get away with it.
THAT'S MY RANT FOR THE DAY ♥
(wait, no, let me also add that Shangri-la quickly became SUPER BORING. Being able to say that the carbon market is my favorite part feels very strange and terrifying.)
SAKI, HOWEVER, IS THE BEST SHOW EVER.
[EDIT:] ALSO. NEW SEASON OF SUZUMIYA HARUHI. Man, the first episode was hilarious.
Okay, enough of that. I'm just going to waste away in ultimate boredom now waiting for this con to start.
