So I am actually extremely proud of myself for being able to make a second post from college, which is amazing considering the fact that I hadn't updated this since like 8th grade. But getting back to the reason for posting this, I'm so glad that I decided to do rush. The few days before I came back to school I was wondering whether or not I had made the right decision, but now I know that I did. Today we went to the first part of the Go Greek round, where we go visit every house and meet so many people. There are about a million sororities at Tech ( really there are only 13) so I only visited 6 of them today. Each house was basically exactly the same thing, we went in and one of the sister's grabbed us and we just went and talked with them for a while, then another sister would come and replace the first person that we met. The only thing that I hated about it was the fact that it got so loud in the houses that you could hardly hear the people you were talking to. And the almost subzero temperatures did not help at all.
Even though I've only gone to half of the houses so far I definitely already have my favorites. My top three are Delta Gamma, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Zeta Tau Alpha. All of the girls that I talked to in those houses were so nice and seemed genuinely interested in learning more about you than just a standard introduction. The other three we visited were Delta Delta Delta, Alpha Gamma Delta, and Chi Omega. The girls in those houses were nice too, but they just didn't seem as interested in getting to know you as the other houses.
Tomorrow we're going to the other seven houses, so hopefully it will go as well as today. And it's supposed to warm up to 30 degrees!!! I am hella excited about that.
