ok, so i'm pretty much sure i failed the trauma section of my emt test. i think my partner's blaming me because we didn't practice more, but given what we missed, i don't think practicing forever would have helped, espically the way we did practice. when you say you're doing something, but don't actually do it, i think that leads to you totally forgetting it. oh well, we can take it again. i may see if i can use a different partner now because even though mine's a great guy and really knows his stuff, i don't want to deal with him freaking out about it and really, one of the things we miss, i missed just because i know when i'm the assist it's something i always do automatically without being asked. of course, it just slipped his mind like it did mine. oh well, that's why they give us two chances. j and meg forgot it until about six minutes into it as well.
in other news, at least i'm getting a new jeep. well, not really new, but a 2002. it's a good price, low mileage, and i want it. i can barely afford it while still paying my parents off, but really, who needs to eat? obviously i could do without a few meals to begin with. actually, it's really not that bad. between what i'll owe my parents and the extra on the jeep payments, it'll be only about $150 extra a month. of course, i was so looking forward to no car payments, but howie was on his way out. better trade it in while i still can.
