Reading and stuff

So work. Not talking about it. Much. I think I'm burning out (which wasn't supposed to happen for another few years). Maybe it's less of a total conflagration than a campfire. I'm not recovering well on my days off. It's affecting my medicine as well as my attitude at work. And I dunno, I'm just being really down and depressed in general which doesn't feel right (and is usually associated with complete exhaustion in my head).

This might be because they put me on extra shifts this month (without extra pay) and all overnights. It should get better next month when they under-shifted me to make things balance. And when I will get to spend a few days at a conference in Bar Harbor, ME. I hope.

Reading.

I just went through several novels that I couldn't even force myself to finish. One was from a storybundle. The other was Joe Abercombie The Blade Itself.

After that depressing show, I wanted to go back to an old friend, so I re-read Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastard series, even knowing that it's probably going to be another decade until the next book comes out.

Now I have the third Lightbringer novel in my hot little hands! Can't wait to finish it. :D
