Wow.....thanks for the feedback from the last post.....
But let me clear some stuff up.....
All of ACEN; that being the room and the registration; was my birthday present from my parents. I couldn't give them anything realistic for it, so I just said the hotel room, then the registration just magically appeared. So that part of ACEN is funded for me. All I'm really paying for is any miscellaneous crap I feel like buying. And Andrew, there are SOME good deals to be had there. This one booth, Graham Crackers, on the second day they drop their prices to 5 bucks a tape. Remember when Nick bought all of Evangelion for 50 bucks.....that's where. The only anime I'm even thinking about buying is the finishing touches to my Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion collections, and that's it. Anything else I want, I can get from DiscountAnimeDVD.com for a shitload cheaper. I might buy some cheap little trinkets, but that's it. I'm not going all out buying crap I don't need.....unless it's some huge mega deal that I just can't pass up. And even then, this is the last time I plan on buying stuff I don't need for a while......
So what does this mean. First and foremost, I'm not going to Omaha any time soon. No way am I gonna drop that much money again. (and seeing how I'm supposed to be in Omaha this weekend for that tourney that was postponed.....) Instead of driving that far, I'll say Milwaukee is the farthest I'll go now. And even then, not on a daily or weekly basis either....just every now and then when I'm in the mood. Also, I'm not gonna be at SJG & GM that much because those places are out of the way for me. Anything I have to drive over an hour to get to just isn't worth it on a regular basis anymore. If there's some fun event that I know people are gonna be there for, like a tourney or gathering, then I'm all for it. But other than that, no more "I'm bored, let's go to Super" type things. Also, no more spending a shitload of money on food. I do this everywhere I go.....work especially. I really need to cut back the food I eat........especially if I plan on working hard enough to audition for American Idol........which believe it or not is one of my goals right now.... And actually, I'm gonna take lessons from my sister's voice instructor, just to get my range and depth back to the levels they were at. So I need to lose a shitload of weight and fast...... Maybe it's time I tried that "don't eat anything" diet I was on for a couple weeks back in August when I was trying to impress Erin.... I mean.....I DID lose a lot of weight..... Granted, once I started eating again, I couldn't stop.....but still......it's worth a shot....
So where does that leave me? Well....I'm still in need of either a J-PS2, or a mod chip and someone to mod my system. The only downside is I have a V1 PS2, and most places I looked at won't mod for me........ And even then, I went to moddepot.com, and I'm actually gonna buy the new Magic Chip when I'm done updating this. But there's just the installation part that I need to take care of..... I don't know who I can get to do it.
Andrew - You say Adalor will do it? Remind me to talk to him about it....
Then there's the matter of the games...... I actually bought Max 2 last night on Rinkya. 50 bucks......beats paying 90 at Mitsuwa. (of course....it'll come to that when you factor shipping and handling and their commission rate..... in the end, using Rinkya isn't worth it....) So Andrew......would I be able to get copies of all the IIDX stuff? =D
So here's my financial layout.........
After ACEN, try to either find a second job, or deal with the Meijer crap, or work toward the American Idol stuff.........lots of possibilities.... But either way, credit card usages ends. The trips I had planned to Cali for AX and Iowa for AnimeIowa are scraped. (and actually, we're taking a family trip to Texas in August......) =)))))))
But also, if there's a MWS3, I'm probably not going. Main reason being because I fuckin blow at DDR now, but still.... As much fun as hotel drinking with Jeff & Andrew would be, I'd rather save the money for my credit cards.
Speaking of those, they're not even gonna be used til Texas. I'm gonna try to go all summer and not use them. If I do, I'll consider it a personal victory.
