home for Thanksgiving

So I'm on this wonderfully slow computer at my house in the flush. Waiting to get online or have a page open up is like you're in the car going 5 mph on the expressway and you have somewhere to be right now. It definitely brings out the road rage in me. lol.

Thanksgiving was fun. We didn't have power. And dinner was at my house. Luckily my grampa has a generator but we could really only run one big appliance at a time. Either the refrigerator, and some lights or the microwave, heat, and some outlets. The stove didn't work or the dishwasher. lol. It was interesting. We ended up boiling water in an electric fry pan/griddle to make like corn and warm stuff up. And kept stuff outside in the snow to keep it cool. Thank goodness my mom pretty much made everything the night before and we just had to warm stuff up. Also, my grampa made the turkey. But everything turned out really well. It was fun. We had so much food. I always love when my family come over. It's nice to spend time with them.

I rented Elf because I've wanted my mom to see it for a year now. But my sis, me and my cousin john watched it last night and my mom and I are watching tonight.

Speaking of tonight, I finally get to see my bff from home, Andrea! It's about time, I haven't seen her since Jamie's wedding in September. We're hanging out tonight. Prolly just doing what we normally do. Watch a movie, make food/eat leftovers, and catch up like there's no tomorrow. One thing that's so awesome with our friendship is that we can not talk for a whole month, come home and act like we saw each other yesterday. It's great.
The only bad part is that Kell (my other bff) left already to go back to Grand Rapids cause she has to work tonight. Which sucks, but hopefully we can see her tomorrow sometime. I sure hope so. The three of us haven't hung out since Jamie's wedding. I saw kell a couple times. But i'm sure we'll see her cause when she wants to do something, she makes it happen....no matter what. : ) she's my girl!! ; )

You wanna know what's weird and sad (in a lame sorta way)? I really miss Adam. I mean, we always always hang out. And it's not like we make big plans together all the time, but if I'm bored, I call him and we do something, either rent a movie or something random like that. Christmas break is gonna be pretty long. : /

Well folks, I think I might go out and brave the crowds with my mom and sis in a little bit. Hope we dont die from over exposure to mean people in the lines. lol. ; )
