-Courage is not found in the heat of battle. Courage is found the next day, facing the repercussions. Benevolence is not giving what you will not miss. Benevolence is giving when the cost is dear to you. Love is not without pain. Love is pain's most excruciating incarnation. Dying is not hard. Living on is. The legacy of a hero is not made on a foundation of invulnerability. The true testament of a hero is born of tears and sadness.

-If someone asks 'why do you like chocolate?' you'd think they were insane,
But when someone asks why I love you it feels about the same.
I mean why wouldn't someone love you? I just don't understand,
You'd think with someone so gorgeous people would flock from all the land.
I guess we all think differently, in our own little way,
But it doesn't really matter because I love you anyway.

Funny thing is, that some people hold on to pain like an old friend,
and they cannot tell the difference between the open hand that lifts up,
and the back hand that beats down. I pray to not be that person.
And I pray that I would rather be poor with a soul that is open to receive
and express all the highs and the lows of this life, than the most
successful and renowned professional that sold his soul and trampled
over the remains of others.
