I like that the story has gotten to the point where Marat would be making the wrong choice by going to Andy. That means my mission was accomplished.

Glad you enjoyed.

Yes, oh Arda, yes. That there was more Kolya/Marat fic in the first place, and then how perfect this was, and- *incoherency*.
The conversation between Nikolay and Marat about Marat's play- I had that conversation, in my head, between the "hope springs eternal" version of myself and the biting, darkly reasonable version. I reached the third round compromise as well, and, yeah, when you told me about the RG draw- my destructive Marat muse just silently smashed a single racquet and then sat down without saying- er, thinking, one word.
The first two paragraphs of the fourth section. So good, so right, I almost find it frightening. Though, of course, there's also the ABSOLUTE FUCKING GENIUS of this line:
You sit on the arm of the chair. It's habit that leads your hand to play with his hair. It's habit that has Marat leaning into the touch. "It's a slump. You don't have to be calm. That's not the guy that everyone on the tour is attracted toward. They want the guy who throws ( ... )

If it weren't for you, I probably would have dropped this. Parts of this came easily - like their early conversation about Marat's expectations at the French and the Mischa stuff. I just could not figure out what to do with a drunk Marat that didn't involve sex. As much as I like writing the pair, it feels awkward to have them go beyond innocuous. But when the story "The Bet" got to that chapter with Kolya/Roddick, it clicked - well, not the pairing itself obviously but that Andy could easily get involved plus possible parallels to Roddick/Federer.

I'm glad I got this out before Wimbledon, when my love/hate for Brit!Andy inspires in a totally different way. Oh, I just noticed that your London muse got going a little earlier - Yay!

Thank you.

Well, then, I'm even more glad that you did. :) Oh, you have a good Mischa!muse, then. One day, if neither one of us can seperately write the RussianDC!orgy, we should get together and write it. Or just multiple version, because how many times have they played DC now? XD
Yeah, I know. It's not the kind nomatterhowthisturnsoutwestillhadhotsex pairing. Since it involves Kolya, it has to be understated. (Oh, yeah, will have to thank Bet author profusely, then.)
Muses work by court seasons. I think my Lleyton!muse is happy that its grass- thus, cooperation. Spaniards are being sulky, as clay is over. XD

So Nikolay is a good influence on Marat off-court but it's the complete opposite on-court?
...Huh. I like that. ~_^

I love the image of their two habits, btw.
...and the pillow in the face. XD

Thanks for writing another part~!

Yeah, I figured Nikolay would have to have some effect on Marat - why does it have to be positive? :)

Glad you enjoyed.
