The next morning Cale opened the door for Allison. "Good Morning Allison" Cale said smiling.
"Where's Kris"Allison asked, ignoring Cale and going up the stairs.
She finds Kris sleeping and slowly walks over to the bed.
"Hey Kris wake up" she whispered in his ear. Kris slowly turned and fought to open his eyes, when he got them open he smiled. "Allison hi" he said groggily before wrapping his arms around her. She chuckled and returned the hug.
"I missed you so much" Kris said.
"I missed you too"Allison said, then let go of him.
Kris was startled when Allison touched his stomach but smiled at the happy look on Allisons face.
"I can't believe there's a baby in there" Allison said in awe. Kris smiled at the sight. Cale came in holding a tray of food.
"Sorry to interrupt but I made breakfast" Cale said.
"Thanks" Kris said when Cale handed him the tray. Allison watched him leave with a glare which Kris caught.
"What's wrong. If looks could kill Cale would be six feet under" Kris asked.
"I just don't get you and his relationship" Allison said, looking puzzled.
"What about it" Kris asked.
"We've been friends for a really long time and after his confession a few years ago you never spent time with him but now it's like he's the only one you go to"Allison said, her eyes a little sad.
"I'm sorry if you feel offended but you're like a sister to me and I don't want to dump my problems on you" Kris said before wrapping her in a hug.
"How's Adam" Kris asked when they pulled apart.
"I had a feeling you would ask" Allison said. The corner of Kris lips went up in a small smile and he said"I know how close you two are".
"He's upset but I think after some time he'll come back to you. You two love each other so much. I hope I have a love like yours one day" Allison said smiling. Kris wiped the tears off his face and smiled. "Yes you will and I'll be there for you every step of the way".
"Well I wish I could stay but I have work with Adam today" Allison said.
"I know Adam said he needed time away from me but could you tell him I said Hi" Kris said.
"Of course" Allison said, giving him a hug. Adam is picking out vegetables and when he stops near the beets a memory pops in his head.
*flashback*
"I can't believe you can eat that crap" Adam said, with a disgusted look on his face.
"Beets are very good for you. Come on try them" Kris said, then tried to feed him a spoon of his beef soup.Adam started swatting at his hand laughing when Kris kept moving it away from the offending hand and towards his mouth.
"Fine" Kris said, then put his finger in the soup and got up from the chair to sit on Adam's lap. Adam let out a surprised gasp when Kris gripped his jaw and put his finger in his mout.Kris moaned when Adam eagerly sucked on the finger. Kris pulled his finger out smirking."Now what were you saying" he asked.
"I love beets" Adam said smiling.
Kris giggled and hummed against Adams neck which caused Adam to laugh. Kris lets out a sharp gasp when Adam lifted both of them off the chair.
"What about our food" Kris asked as Adam walked them up the stairs.
"I'm not hungry for food anymore. I'd much rather eat you" Adam said smirking.
"Works for me" Kris said laughing.
Back in the present Adam starts wiping the sudden tears that fall to his eyes at the memory. "Adam" he hears someone say from behind, he turns around
to find Tommy standing there with a worried expression on his face.
Adam took his hand off the cart and charges at Tommy causing him to knock over the products on the shelves behind him. Two guards ran over to separate the two of them. Adam punched Tommy once and was about to do it again when both of the men grabbed him by the arms and pulled him back.
"This is all your fault. Me and Kris would be together now and would be having our baby if it weren't for you" Adam yelled, tears coming down his eyes.
"I'm so sorry" Tommy said, tears also coming down his eyes. Tommy leaves the grocery store and starts wiping his eyes, he then pulls out his phone.
"We need to talk".
Cale parks his car in an alley behind a bar. "What do you want" Cale asked.
"I ran into Adam today" Tommy said.
"And" Cale asked.
"He looked terrible. I don't think I can do this anymore. I can't keep hurting an innocent person" Tommy said.
Cale backed Tommy against the wall. "He is not innocent. If it weren't for him me and Kris would be together. Now, Do you want the people you gambled with to kill your your family" he asked.
Tommy shook his head and said "Of course not"
"Then you'll do as I say" Cale said.
"No. I'll find another way to get the rest of the money. I will not help you hurt these people anymore. This thing between you and me is done. " Tommy said before walking away.
Cale watched Tommy leave. "We'll just have to see about that, won't we" he said to himself with an evil smirk on his face.
