Just another tech update for my clients who follow this journal:
My motherboard return was approved by Intel last week and the old board was shipped to them on Friday. It should get there by Tuesday. After that I don't know how long it will take them to examine the board to approve sending me a replacement. I wanted to cross ship the replacement but I was told given the age of the board itself, they couldn't authorize a cross ship. After they approve the new board they will ship it to me.
I am leaving next Thursday for Anime Matsuri in Houston to be in the artist alley and I won't be back until the following Monday. That being the case, I won't be able to finish any open jobs until Anime Matsuri is over because even if the new board was to come next week I either 1) won't have time to have it installed and/or 2) will be busy getting prepped for the con. The new board may not even come until I'm already out of town or after the con is over... Intel hasn't been the kings of speed here so far, so I really can't say for sure.
Once the con is over and my system is up and running, though, I will do my best to FINALLY get the open jobs done ASAP.
I apologize to my clients again --- you just happened to catch me in one of my every-third-year tech fuster clucks.
