Tokyo in Tulsa and some Totoro
Today's entry is brought to you by the letter "T".
Well, it looks like barring any changes in Angeline's test and surgical schedule, I'm going to be going to Tokyo in Tulsa this year. It's July 10-12 in Tulsa, OK. I couldn't pass up trying a con within driving distance that sells a table and two badges for $75. That's stupid cheap.
So if there are any people who read me here who are from the Tulsa area, I'll be there. Come see me and stuff. If everything goes according to plan I'm going to be at three more cons before the end of the year including TnT. I must be crazy.
And because I promised it and didn't post it right away because of being dead tired and getting caught up with clients, the Totoro pic:

I've loved My Neighbor Totoro since before I even knew what anime was. I found it at the video rental store when I was 8 or 9 years old and immediately fell for it head over heels. It's still one of my favorite Miyazaki films, and the original Fox dub beats the pants off of the recent Disney re-dub with Dakota Fanning. For such an incredibly talented screen actress, her voice acting needs work. But maybe that's just me being biased for the version I grew up with. Truth be told I only bought the Disney re-release to get the original Japanese language track since the Fox DVD release didn't have the rights to it.
