The weekend

I don't have to go into work until 1ish today. I like being able to make the schedule. =) I figured I would spend my half day off catching up on house cleaning (mostly laundry), and giving the dogs a lot of attention/play time. I might try and sneak some tanning in there too...I don't want to burn when we are in Moab next week.

The weekend was awesome! It was so nice to get away. We headed to Little Moab Friday night, and even though it was dark we found an excellent camping spot! We pretty much just set up camp, made dinner, and hung out a little before going to bed. Saturday the weather went from nice to rainy and cold, off and on all day. We got a good amount of wheelin' in, did some exploring to find the Nutty Putty Caves, shot clay pigeons, and got to watch alot of rigs play around on some rock formations that we were camped by. It was also really nice to spend some time with family, and friends that are like family to us. The dogs absolutely loved it out there! They were so good they were able to just run around camp the whole time. The stayed pretty close by for the majority of the trip, but Brinks (our male) likes to explore so he wandered a little too far than we liked a few times, but was pretty good about coming back when we called for him. Koda (our female) didn't know what to do with all the people around that would throw the ball for her. It was fun to watch her play fetch with Haylie, our friends two year old daughter. They were very well behaved, didn't jump on anyone (which is a shocker, we've been working on that for awhile now and it hasn't seemed to work until this trip), and they stayed close to camp most of the time. Sunday the weather was gorgeous. It seems to always be that way on the day you have to leave. We ran into some guy friends of mine from high school while we were out playing on the rocks that are called Little Moab. It was awesome to see them, and catch up. Sunday was pretty laid back. We did some more wheelin and shootin, but most of the day we just sat around relaxing. After dinner I got to drive the Jeep around for awhile on the rocks we were camped by. Thanks to Stephen as my spotter I walked right through (slowly haha) where we had to winch a kid out of earlier. I did a few obstacles, but the sun was setting so it was hard to see (too bright) and we needed to get ready to go. All in all it was a wonderful trip and just made me that much more excited for EJS next week in Moab! I officially have the time off. I was kindof worried that I wouldn't be able to work out the schedule around the boys schedules to cover all the time I wanted off, but it worked out even better than I thought!

Well I'm off... "Take Luck" ..for any Brian Regan fans out there ;)
