incase i forgot how much i enjoy auburn in the summertime, i've been reminded... and any of you who have yet to experience it should definitely plan on sticking around next year.
i realize not all of you are aware of our fascination with rainbow chip icing (carried only, in auburn, by kroger... and we know this to be true because we've been in all the grocery stores to make sure). but an email sent to my roommates last night consisted partly of this: "i text messaged all three of you to share in our lament of kroger's lack of rainbow chip icing tonight. i was extremely disappointed, and claire suggested we ask if they had more in back... but after a little deliberation, we figured it would be okay to just use chocolate. i knew that you could all appreciate our frustration. kroger and i are currently taking a break."
but last night's cupcakes were good, and claire, margaret, susan and i were quite proud of our baking abilities (even without our sacred icing). however, i am almost ashamed to say that i went back today (for bisquick & diet pepsi, clearly life's essentials) after less than even 24 hours apart from kroger. obviously i am incapable of taking a break.
other than that, things around here have been good... still shacking up with hannah, still going to school (very sadly). but my great books teacher doesnt give quizzes or take attendance, and so it goes without saying that she is my new favorite. anatomy & biochem are probably going to kick my butt... but i figure there are worse things in life.
it should be mentioned that hannah's latest visit to the doctor sent her home with a blood pressure machine, and now she has to take her blood pressure every morning and night and keep a log of it all. she also came home from walmart with a bath pillow the other night so she can relax in the tub. and yet the fact remains that she sleeps with a glow worm named herman and has a lime green plastic dinosaur that holds her floss. i swear she is either 87 or 4. i love it.
i met a boy today who just finished his second year of pharmacy school here. he told me to get out while i still have the chance. awesome.
after lunch at the pita pit with milla (lilley, i thought about you!), we stopped by the varsity to harass the paint guys and i'm pleased now to say that the remodeling of apartment #105 is nearing completion. new tile, fresh paint, the removal of ugly green couches... all that's left now is the carpet and delivery of our new beds & we'll be good to go. the parents are arriving on saturday to stay and play (well, work) for a WEEK... this is going to be so much fun. please come visit.
speaking of milla, she is the newest member of the facebook, and you should immediately add her as your friend. also, anyone willing to explain to her what a poke is via facebook, that was her first and only question.
i love ya'll, but now i'm going to sleep. xoxo.
