'Idol' trade-offs: Kris Allen coming to BYU-Idaho, talks of changes in his life
[Kris] is working on an album for release sometime next year. While it's too early to tell what it will be like, Allen said it will be different from previous efforts.
"Because I'm doing this on my own, it does feel a little more personal in the lyrical content and just the way the songs have come about," he said. "Most of them have come from an idea of mine or been written by myself. So there's that. I think it will be great. It will be a little different from the last record, but in a really good way."
