Kris Allen Talks Family
On balancing a family life (being a husband to Katy) with music, he reveals, “It’s not the easiest thing in the world, but she’s amazing! We make sure that we have our deadlines and that we do not spend too much time away from each other. We try to make sure that we are talking all of the time, and I am trying to be the best husband I can be! We try very hard at time. Thank God she is incredible and she is super-supportive of me!”
Kris Allen Shares his Proud Moments
According to Kris, “I always get excited about the people that I meet, so going on tour with Keith Urban or Maroon 5 was really cool. Also, I got to sing at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii a few years ago, and I got to meet Peyton Manning which was pretty awesome since I am big sports fan!”
Kris Allen’s Future Plans
“I have a lot of promotion to do for the new record, and then I will be going on tour after that,” he says. “I plan not to think too far ahead, but this year will consist of touring to support the album.”
He notes that he would love to do a dream duet with Kimberly Perry, the lead singer of The Band Perry. “I love her music and I think she’s incredible,” the Arkansas native states.
He reveals that he is also a fan of country songstress Martina McBride, and further adds that he still keeps in touch with his fellow Idol finalists such as Allison Iraheta, Adam Lambert and Matt Giraud, to name a few.
