WIP: Portrait of Noelle Hunt

Dec 05, 2008 19:17

Here is the complete WIP of my painting of Noelle Hunt from start to finish.

I'm not done with the sketch yet. But this is where she is currently.

have to work on jawline, chin (the collar on the right makes her look wider because of the intersection of lines right there so will be reworking that) finish shading lines, and decide if i want to enlarge the finger on the hat.

It's a mesh of two photos.

The face/hat I liked- I didn't like the hand position. The hand position I liked I didn't like the face/hat.

So I Frankensteined these two images:

it's a 9x12 3/4 wrapped canvas and it will be in acrylics

I went through and made all my changes and noticed I missed on (left side of chin/jawline - will get that later)

I'm going to start lines tomorrow hopefully. I would really like this to make it in time for the show.

Here are the changes:

and my inspiration/vibe for this painting (not gonna be in this style though)

------------

Progress so far............no where near done, and lots to go and lots to tweak.

------------
Here is where she is after about 4+ hours painting today.

I still have to shade the left side of her jacket and put more layers of paint on the shaded parts of her fingers , and the shaded part of the band on the hat - then work some mojo on the background.

Then the fun will start - Line-ing! all the lines currently there are the starter lines so it looks a lil weird and rough.

I'm hoping to get this done by :Midnight tomorrow but it will all hinge on the lines and getting a good photo.

*crossing fingers*

------------

Here is where I am currently background mojo on - though i have to straighten it up a tad.

sowee for wonky angle - makes things look a lil outta whack.

then lines.....tons and tons of lines lol
