[ There was just silence of the phone for a while as Kristoph was just sitting there with it pressed against his ear and relaxing with his legs crossed. The first sound was a sigh where the fake smile behind it could almost be heard.]It's almost amusing how life can sometimes give you the things you would never need. At one point, you may have ( Read more... )

Some things can be taken at face value... but we should explore ever possibility, shouldn't we?

Especially now, in this place. Something could be as good as it seems, but we have to learn to second-guess it now, because we never know if it's simply a trick being played on us from this town. I think we just have to be careful.

[Pause] I'm not sure if that was exactly in line with your speech.

I believe you got the idea pretty well, miss. How lucky I might be to find someone who can think deeper than just a face-value.

[She smiles a little] Thank you.

There are many strange things here... I'm not sure anyone will get used to them. But it's best to be careful.

I'm the Childlike Empress, by the way.

Well then, Your Highness, I am Kristoph Gavin. It's rather nice to meet you.

I will do my best to be careful, and I hope that you will too.

[Someone who knows this brother. That is a shame.]

Why yes, I am his older brother. It's nice to see my brother is still as popular as he has always been.

He's been very kind to me, and he has many notes about this place. He's been working hard to collect any information that might be useful here in Mayfield.

Was he popular back in your world as well...?

He was possibly the most popular man I could have ever known. It's no surprise that he's doing to much even here. I suppose Klavier is someone you could truly call a good person.
