ok friends - tell me what I have missed -
this is my intro to all my diff wedding communities - but I wanted to know - do any of you have advice or comments for me???

Location of wedding: not sure...PA NY NJ...still debating on whether we want to be married in or by a covered bridge...
Wedding date: 10/08 - thinking the 31st.
Why did you pick this day?: bc it will be easy for him to remember..
Wedding details (theme, size, formality, etc.): looking like 250 people, outdoors, lakeside (or covered bridge)ceremony..
colors for bride and groom are ivory, burgundy and black.
The wedding party will be comprised of a adult ringbearer and flower girl - wearing pretty much whatever they want - ;) they are the best friends and matchmakers of the couple... and then the rest of the party will be in dark blue, shimmery metalic orange and white...I just dont know how..
After the -most likely Quaker-influenced ceremony, there will be a picnic, followed by a cake and cider dessert....(though I want picnic, ceremony, dessert...don't want hungry ppl not paying attention...) so its pretty casual.
How you met: my favorite roommate ever*flower girl to be* introduced us. I had seen him previously -just hadnt met. One week after she moved in - I came home and she slamed the door in my face. ;) she came out asking how I felt about minors drinking *dont care* and she let me in to find about 7 ppl cramed into our little room. Peter was drunk and hot -and wouldnt talk to me. So i made him talk, and made him like me. About 6 months after that, we were talking every day, and ended up dating after he moved into my dorm apartment. * he wouldnt leave, and after 4 days I decided I might as well date him - he was already my best friend...*
Peter says when he first met me -that I looked real cute standing outside one day in a black- boots, tights, skirt, sweater and pink scarf outfit...and that he liked me then.
Was it "love" at first sight?: not at all. my best friend had a crush on him - but i thought his then green hair made him look like a mushroom/troll.
What do you love MOST about your fiancé: that he wont leave. ;) no matter how mad i get at him - we are all made up within 2 hours regaurdless of the fight topic.

Anything else? ok - here are my questions -
my mother is a caterer and a seamstress. Officiant is my uncle. I have two friends that are published photographers that have already offered. I go to a choir college, so music is free... how much does a wedding in say, a public park for 250 ppl (chairs and tent are already there) cost. Mom is paying for the reception -
So I am picking up the tab for-
300-ish invites, 300ish-thank you cards, flowers for about 7 ushers, myself, and 7 bridesmaids..couple other like mother of the bride things..., park donation, decorations - ribbons, pumpkins, uhh?, licenses, what am I forgetting? and how much of a budget is good?
I am planning on making my own invites, using post cards as response cards, using pretty paper and small envelopes for thank you notes, flowers that are in season, ( except for the blue roses) park donation 50 or $250? .. i can grow pupmkins ;)
would it be best for me to list all this stuff in a spread sheet and do an estimates sort of thing??
and second - My fiance and I have no idea what to do for a honeymoon. Like, at all. He will be one month into gradschool - so it cant be more than a week - and even that is pushing it.... all we can even think of is a cruise... and I know it is acceptable - but anyone have ideas for 'sprucing up' just staying at home in our house and getting settled??
